M-142 Greek Heritage Month

That, in the opinion of the House, the government should recognize the outstanding contributions that Greek-Canadians have made to Canada’s social, economic and political life and formally acknowledge the universal significance of March 25, the anniversary of Greek independence, as an important commemoration that transcends cultural and linguistic barriers, and a time for the whole community to share expressions of joy for the freedom and independence of Greek people around the world, and as such declare March, every year, Greek Heritage Month.
