The Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans met at 9:15 o'clock a.m. this day, in Room 209, West Block, the Chairman, Joe McGuire, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Yvan Bernier, Harold Culbert, John Cummins, Stan Dromisky, Joe McGuire, Harry Verran and Derek Wells.
Associate Members present: Roger Simmons and Elsie Wayne.

In accordance with its mandate under Standing Order 108(2), a roundtable discussion on the issue of cost recovery (see Minutes of Proceedings and Evidence, dated February 4, 1997, Issue No. 4).
The witnesses made opening statements and answered questions.
On motion of Harry Verran, seconded by Lawrence O'Brien, it was agreed,--That the Committee adopt the budget in the amount of $22,408.20 for its study on cost recovery.
At 1:45 o'clock p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
