Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), your Committee has considered the matter of Credit Card Practices and Regulations in Canada. Following testimony from banking executives, your committee recommends that the Competition Bureau be encouraged to investigate potential anti-competitive behaviour in Canada’s e-Transfer ecosystem, and if deemed necessary, the broader electronic payments industry in general. |
