Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, April 17, 2007, your Committee recommends:

Conformément au paragraphe 108(2) du Règlement et la motion adoptée par le Comité le mardi 17 avril 2007, votre Comité recommande :

That the government orient its 2007 spending for Status of Women Canada and the various other Canadian government agencies to:

Que le gouvernement oriente les budgets qu’il accorde en 2007 à Condition féminine Canada et aux divers autres organismes gouvernementaux dans un sens propre à :

Address the crucial and pressing issue of violence towards women and girls;

Combattre le problème crucial et urgent de la violence faite aux femmes et aux filles;

Support the full participation and promote the equality of women in Canadian society; and

Favoriser la pleine participation des femmes à la société canadienne et en promouvoir l’égalité; et

Address the challenges women face by promoting projects that improve the situation of women in key areas such as women’s economic status and support groups working to that end, and advocacy groups in particular.

Aplanir les défis auxquels les femmes font face en appuyant des projets qui améliorent leur condition dans des domaines clés comme leur situation économique et appuyer les groupes qui travaillent dans ce sens, notamment les groupes de défense des droits.
