M-38 Pharmacare program

44th Parliament, 1st Session

Motion Text

That, in the opinion of the House, the government should immediately implement a universal, comprehensive and public pharmacare program based on the final report of the Hoskins Advisory Council on the Implementation of National Pharmacare as part of Canada's COVID-19 economic response plan given that one in five Canadians were uninsured or underinsured prior to the emergence of COVID-19 and layoffs triggered by the pandemic have left millions of Canadians without access to employer-sponsored drug coverage.
