M-292 Firefighter safety

Motion Text
That, in the opinion of the House, the government should: (a) review the National Building Code of Canada to ensure that it contains the necessary provisions for firefighter safety with respect to lightweight building materials and new construction techniques in residential structures; (b) specify that firefighter safety in residential structures can be used as the basis of a code change request in the National Building Code of Canada; and (c) ensure that firefighter safety in residential structures is written into the National Building Code of Canada as a core requirement in the 2015 code review cycle.
