The Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology met in camera at 11:09 a.m. this day, in Room 371, West Block, the Chair, James Rajotte, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: André Arthur, Colin Carrie, Paul Crête, Hon. Jean C. Lapierre, Brian Masse, Hon. Dan McTeague, James Rajotte, Bev Shipley, Hon. Belinda Stronach, Dave Van Kesteren and Robert Vincent.

Acting Member present: Massimo Pacetti for Hon. Joe Fontana.

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Lalita Acharya, Analyst; Dan Shaw, Analyst. Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology: Alexandre Roger, Co-Clerk of the Committee.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its study of Challenges Facing the Canadian Manufacturing Sector.

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report be adopted, as amended, as the Second Report of the Committee.

It was agreed, — That the Chair, analysts and clerks be authorized to make such typographical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That the Chair be instructed to present the Second Report of the Committee to the House.

At 11:40 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
