M-448 — February 6, 2008 — Mr. Siksay (Burnaby—Douglas) — That, in the opinion of the House, the government should: (a) immediately initiate a full, comprehensive, credible, independent and impartial public review of the transfer of refugee claimant Benamar Benatta from Canada to the United States on September 12, 2001; (b) ensure that no Canadian official or agency be exempt from scrutiny; (c) ensure that the mandate of the review be expanded to include any other similar case known prior to or discovered during the course of the review; and (d) ensure that a public report of the findings and recommendations be issued.
