The Chair presented the Sixth Report from the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure which read as follows:
Your Subcommittee met on Tuesday, September 15, 2009, to consider the business of the Committee and agreed to make the following recommendations:
On Bill S-4:
That the Committee begin consideration of Bill S-4, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (identity theft and related misconduct) on Thursday, September 17, 2009, and that the Minister of Justice and senior officials be invited to appear;
That the Committee hear witnesses on Monday, September 28, and on Wednesday, October 7 if necessary.
On Bill C-232:
That, on Wednesday, September 30, the Committee invite additional witnesses;
On Bill C-36:
That the Committee begin consideration of Bill C-36, An Act to amend the Criminal Code on Monday, October 19, 2009, and that the Minister of Justice and senior officials be invited to appear;
On Declaring Certain Groups Criminal Organizations:
That the Committee proceed to providing drafting instructions for the Report on Monday, October 5 for one hour, and;
On Organized Crime:
That, the Committee travel to Montreal and Halifax in relation to its study on organized crime from October 21 to 23.
On the review of the Canadian Human Rights Act:
That the Committee begin consideration of the study of the Canadian Human Rights Act and in particular Section 13 on Monday, October 5 for one hour.
