The Chair presented the Third Report from the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure which read as follows:
Your Subcommittee met on Tuesday, March 10, 2009, to consider the business of the Committee and agreed to make the following recommendations:
Organized Crime
1. That, in relation to its study on Organized Crime the Committee travel to Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg and Vancouver the week of March 30 to April 3, 2009.
2. That, in consultation with the Chair, the Clerk schedule hearings with appropriate witnesses in each city during the week of travel.
March 23-25, 2009
3. That, if the Committee has received an Order of Reference concerning Bill C-14, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (organized crime and protection of justice system participants) from the House, the Committee study the referred Bill during the week of March 23 and add additional meetings if necessary, and;
4. If the Committee has not received an Order of Reference from the House concerning Bill C-14, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (organized crime and protection of justice system participants) the committee continue consideration of a draft report on Impaired Driving on March 23 and the Committee continue its study on Organized Crime on March 25.
