| M-337 — March 4, 2009 — Mr. Dewar (Ottawa Centre) — That the House express its concern over the release of radioactive tritium into the Ottawa River from the Chalk River nuclear facility and calls on the government to strengthen guidelines for tritium exposure in drinking water by reducing the limit of tritium exposure to 100 becquerels per litre (Bq/L) immediately and to 20 Bq/L after five years. | M-337 — 4 mars 2009 — M. Dewar (Ottawa-Centre) — Que la Chambre exprime son inquiétude concernant le rejet dans la rivière des Outaouais de tritium radioactif de l’installation nucléaire de Chalk River et demande au gouvernement de renforcer les normes sur le tritium dans l’eau potable en réduisant les valeurs seuils à 100 becquerels par litre (Bq/l) immédiatement et à 20 Bq/l dans cinq ans. |
| M-338 — March 4, 2009 — Ms. Gagnon (Québec) — That, in the opinion of the House, the government should identify all persons employed at the Valcartier military base between 1940 and 2002, and all persons having resided in the married quarters of the base (as well as their heirs, if any), notify them of possible exposure to drinking water contaminated with chlorinated solvents, including trichloroethylene and its degradation by-products, and administer a voluntary epidemiological health questionnaire to those individuals. | M-338 — 4 mars 2009 — Mme Gagnon (Québec) — Que, de l'avis de la Chambre, le gouvernement devrait identifier toutes les personnes ayant été employées à la Base militaire de Valcartier de 1940 à 2002 et toutes les personnes ayant résidé dans le secteur des logements familiaux de la Base (ainsi que leurs successeurs, le cas échéant), devrait leur notifier qu'elles ont pu être exposées à une eau de consommation contaminée par des solvants chlorés, dont du trichloroéthylène et ses sous-produits de dégradation et devrait leur administrer, sur une base volontaire, un questionnaire sur leur santé, de type épidémiologique. |
