| M-269 — September 29, 2011 — Mr. Rajotte (Edmonton—Leduc) — That, in the opinion of the House, the government should help improve financial literacy in Canada by: (a) working to implement the recommendations of the Task Force on Financial Literacy; (b) creating, promoting, and continuously upgrade a single source website for financial literacy to increase public awareness and ease access to information for Canadians; (c) requiring federally regulated financial institutions to publicly disclose their contributions to financial literacy initiatives; (d) ensuring the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada works with willing provinces and territories to promote financial literacy to youth through the educational system; and (e) designating November as “Financial Literacy Month”. | M-269 — 29 septembre 2011 — M. Rajotte (Edmonton—Leduc) — Que, de l’avis de la Chambre, le gouvernement devrait contribuer à l’amélioration de la littératie financière au Canada en : a) travaillant à la mise en œuvre des recommandations du Groupe de travail sur la littératie financière; b) créant, promouvant et tenant continuellement à jour un site Web dédié à la littératie financière afin de sensibiliser le public et faciliter l’accès à l’information pour les Canadiens; c) exigeant que les institutions financières sous réglementation fédérale divulguent publiquement leurs contributions aux initiatives de littératie financière; d) veillant à ce que l’Agence de la consommation en matière financière du Canada travaille avec les provinces et les territoires à la promotion de la littératie financière auprès des jeunes au moyen du système d’éducation; e) désignant novembre le « Mois de la littératie financière ». |
