| M-510 — May 8, 2014 — Ms. Ashton (Churchill) — That, in the opinion of the House: (a) a women's right to choose abortion is a fundamental question of equality and human rights, both in Canada and around the world; (b) the key priorities of the government during the upcoming international summit on child and maternal health on May 28-30, 2014 should include empowering women globally, promoting gender equality and supporting reproductive health care including the full range of family planning, sexual and reproductive health options; and (c) the government should lift its policy of refusing to fund international programs that support a full range of family planning and reproductive health care options including abortion. | M-510 — 8 mai 2014 — Mme Ashton (Churchill) — Que, de l’avis de la Chambre : a) le droit des femmes de choisir l’avortement est au cœur de l’égalité et touche aux droits de la personne, qu’on soit au Canada ou ailleurs dans le monde; b) en prévision du sommet international sur la santé des enfants et des mères qui aura lieu du 28 au 30 mai 2014, le gouvernement devrait avoir pour grandes priorités de donner plus de pouvoirs aux femmes dans le monde, de promouvoir l’égalité des sexes et de soutenir les services de santé en matière de procréation, y compris toute la gamme de services de planification de la famille et de santé en matière de procréation et de sexualité; c) le gouvernement devrait abandonner sa politique qui consiste à refuser de financer les programmes internationaux qui soutiennent les diverses options de planification de la famille et de santé en matière de procréation, y compris l’avortement. |
