December 6, 2018 — Resuming consideration of the motion of , seconded by , — That a Message be sent to the Senate to acquaint Their Honours that the House respectfully disagrees with amendments 1 and 2 made by the Senate to Bill C-51, An Act to amend the Criminal Code and the Department of Justice Act and to make consequential amendments to another Act, as they are inconsistent with the Bill’s objective of codifying Supreme Court of Canada jurisprudence on a narrow aspect of the law on sexual assault and instead seek to legislate a different, much more complex legal issue, without the benefit of consistent guidance from appellate courts or a broad range of stakeholder perspectives.

6 décembre 2018 — Reprise de l’étude de la motion de , appuyée par , — Qu’un message soit envoyé au Sénat pour informer Leurs Honneurs que la Chambre rejette respectueusement les amendements 1 et 2 apportés par le Sénat au projet de loi C-51, Loi modifiant le Code criminel et la Loi sur le ministère de la Justice et apportant des modifications corrélatives à une autre loi, étant donné qu’ils sont incompatibles avec l’objectif du projet de loi de codifier la jurisprudence de la Cour suprême du Canada sur un aspect précis du droit relatif aux agressions sexuelles, et cherchent plutôt à légiférer sur une question juridique différente et beaucoup plus complexe, en l’absence d’orientations cohérentes de la part des tribunaux d’appel ou de différents points de vue des intervenants.

December 6, 2018 — Resuming consideration of the motion of Ms. McKenna (Minister of Environment and Climate Change), seconded by Ms. Chagger (Leader of the Government in the House of Commons), — That a Message be sent to the Senate to acquaint Their Honours that, in relation to Bill C-57, An Act to amend the Federal Sustainable Development Act, the House:	6 décembre 2018 — Reprise de l’étude de la motion de M^me McKenna (ministre de l'Environnement et du Changement climatique), appuyée par M^me Chagger (leader du gouvernement à la Chambre des communes), — Qu’un message soit envoyé au Sénat pour informer Leurs Honneurs que, en ce qui concerne le projet de loi C-57, Loi modifiant la Loi fédérale sur le développement durable, la Chambre :
agrees with amendments 1 and 3 made by the Senate;	accepte les amendements 1 et 3 apportés par le Sénat;
respectfully disagrees with amendment 2 because the amendment seeks to legislate employment matters which are beyond the policy intent of the bill, whose purpose is to make decision-making related to sustainable development more transparent and accountable to Parliament.	rejette respectueusement l'amendement 2, parce que celui-ci vise à réglementer des questions d'emploi dépassant le but stratégique du projet de loi, soit accroître la transparence du processus décisionnel en matière de développement durable et assortir ce processus de l'obligation de rendre compte devant le Parlement.
