In February 2022, 616 witnesses (83.8% of that month’s total) completed and passed their pre-test, 9 (1.2%) completed but failed their pre-test, 22 (3.0%) did not attend their scheduled pre-test, and 88 (12.0%) did not schedule a pre-test.
In March 2022, 641 witnesses (85.6% of that month’s total) completed and passed their pre-test, 3 (0.4%) completed but failed their pre-test, 21 (2.8%) did not attend their scheduled pre-test, and 84 (11.2%) did not schedule a pre-test. 
In April 2022, 445 witnesses (92.3% of that month’s total) completed and passed their pre-test, 2 (0.4%) completed but failed their pre-test, 14 (2.9%) did not attend their scheduled pre-test, and 21 (4.4%) did not schedule a pre-test. 
In May 2022, 752 witnesses (73.7% of that month’s total) completed and passed their pre-test, 19 (1.9%) completed but failed their pre-test, 35 (3.4%) did not attend their scheduled pre-test, and 214 (21.0%) did not schedule a pre-test.
In June 2022, 288 witnesses (84.5% of that month’s total) completed and passed their pre-test, 16 (4.7%) did not attend their scheduled pre-test, and 37 (10.9%) did not schedule a pre-test.

Since February 2021, the House Administration calls all committee witnesses to schedule pre-tests.

In February 2022, 35% of witnesses used a House of Commons-provided headset, 60% of witnesses used a headset from another source, and 5% had no headset (using instead a device-integrated microphone). 
In March 2022, 67% of witnesses used a House of Commons -provided headset, 27% of witnesses used a headset from another source, and 6% had no headset (using instead a device-integrated microphone). 
In April 2022, 72% of witnesses used a House of Commons -provided headset, 24% of witnesses used a headset from another source, and 4% had no headset (using instead a device-integrated microphone). 
In May 2022, 56% of witnesses used a House of Commons -provided headset, 36% of witnesses used a headset from another source, and 8% had no headset (using instead a device-integrated microphone).
In June 2022, 70% of witnesses used a House of Commons -provided headset, 26% of witnesses used a headset from another source, and 4% had no headset (using instead a device-integrated microphone).

In February 2022, 699 (95.1%) of the witnesses appearing by videoconference had no audio-quality issues and 36 (4.9%) did. 
In March 2022, 701 (93.6%) of the witnesses appearing by videoconference had no audio-quality issues and 48 (6.4%) did. 
In April 2022, 455 (94.4%) of the witnesses appearing by videoconference had no audio-quality issues and 27 (5.6%) did. 
In May 2022, 980 (96.1%) of the witnesses appearing by videoconference had no audio-quality issues and 40 (3.9%) did. 
In June 2022, 327 (95.9%) of the witnesses appearing by videoconference had no audio-quality issues and 14 (4.1%) did.

In instances where committees experienced an audio-quality issue during a committee meeting, in February 2022, 7 issues related to a bad connection (4 resolved), 14 issues related to the headset (7 resolved), 28 issues related to the HoC room or infrastructure (1 resolved), 9related to human error (8 resolved), and 1 issue related to Windows updates (1 resolved); in March 2022, 8 issues related to a bad connection (4 resolved), 13 issues related to the headset (9 resolved), 12 issues related to the HoC room or infrastructure (2 resolved), 17 issues related to human error (15 resolved), and 2 issues related to Windows updates (2 resolved); in April 2022, 11 issues related to a bad connection (4 resolved), 10 issues related to the headset (4 resolved), 2 issues related to the HoC room or infrastructure (0 resolved), 6 issues related to human error (6 resolved), and 0 issues related to Windows updates; in May 2022, 10 issues were recorded as related to a bad connection (6 resolved), 25 issues related to the headset (9 resolved), 0 issues related to the HoC room or infrastructure, 8 issues related to human error (8 resolved), and 0 issues were recorded as related to Windows updates; in June 2022, 2 issues related to a bad connection (2 resolved), 8 issues related to the headset (4 resolved), 0 issues related to the HoC room or infrastructure, 4 issues related to human error (3 resolved), and 0 issues were recorded as related to Windows updates.

Issues that could affect a witness' ability to participate in the meeting continue to be identified and, where possible, resolved, during the pre-test and the verification immediately prior to the meeting.

In February 2022, for committee meeting participants participating by videoconference, 58% had a Wi-Fi connection, 41% had a wired connection, and 1% had a cellular connection. 
In March 2022, for committee meeting participants participating by videoconference, 51% had a Wi-Fi connection, 48% had a wired connection, and 1% had a cellular connection. 
In April 2022, for committee meeting participants participating by videoconference, 51% had a Wi-Fi connection, 47% had a wired connection, and 2% had a cellular connection. 
In May 2022, for committee meeting participants participating by videoconference, 47% had a Wi-Fi connection, 51% had a wired connection, and 2% had a cellular connection. 
In June 2022, for committee meeting participants participating by videoconference, 47% had a Wi-Fi connection, 51% had a wired connection, and 2% had a cellular connection.

In general, wired connectivity provides a better audio chain.
