BLOC QUÉBÉCOIS DISSENTING REPORT ON GOVERNOR GENERAL'S EXPENSES
The Bloc Québécois is not opposed to the committee’s recommendations; however, it believes that the recommendations treat the symptoms, not the disease, which is that an honorary and colonialist position is costing a fortune to citizens struggling to make ends meet. Therefore, the Bloc Québécois proposes addressing the root cause by making the following recommendation: That the federal government abolish the position of Governor General of Canada
