| Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee has considered matters relating to the assistance program for exhibits and festivals and report the following: | Conformément à l'article 108(2) du Règlement, le comité a étudié les questions relatives au programme de soutien aux expositions et aux festivals et fait rapport de ce qui suit: |
| That, in the spirit of honesty, accuracy and transparency in managing public funds, the Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage asks that the Government release information on its new assistance program for exhibits and festivals, specifically the terms and conditions for selecting events to receive assistance and methods of funding, and that it make this information available as soon as possible so that we are in a position to make an informed decision about the program, in the interests of the organizations that may be eligible for assistance. | Que, par souci de rigueur, d'honnêteté et de transparence dans la gestion des fonds publics, le Comité Permanent du Patrimoine Canadien demande au gouvernement de rendre publique le fondement de son nouveau programme de soutien aux expositions et aux festivals, en y incluant notamment les paramètres qui détermineraient le choix des événements retenus, les modalités de leur financement, et de rendre disponibles ces informations dans les meilleurs délais afin de nous permettre de poser un jugement éclairé sur ledit programme, dans l’intérêt des organismes qui pourraient y avoir droit. |
