| Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and a motion adopted by the Committee on Monday, February 27, 2012, the Committee has agreed to report the following: | Conformément au paragraphe 108(2) du Règlement et à une motion adoptée par le Comité le lundi 27 février 2012, le Comité convient de faire rapport de ce qui suit : |
| That, because the evidence demonstrates that the Canadian seal hunt is conducted humanely and sustainably, the Committee reaffirms its support for the Canadian Seal Industry, and that, given the current state of the Canadian Sealing Industry, the Committee calls on the government to continue its efforts to open new markets and to protect and promote the sealing industry on the international stage, and that this motion be reported to the House. | Qu’étant donné que tout indique que la chasse au phoque se pratique sans cruauté et qu’elle est durable, le Comité réaffirme son appui à l’industrie canadienne du phoque, et que, vu l’état actuel de cette industrie, le Comité demande au gouvernement de poursuivre ses efforts pour ouvrir de nouveaux marchés, de protéger et de promouvoir l’industrie du phoque sur la scène internationale, et que cette motion fasse l’objet d’un rapport à la Chambre. |
