The Order was read for the second reading and reference to the Standing Committee of Finance of Bill C-37, An Act ot implement an agreement between Canada and the Russian Federation, a convention between Canada and the Republic of South Africa, an agreement between Canada and the United Republic of Tanzania, an agreement between Canada and the Republic of India and a convention between Canada and Ukraine, for the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income.
Mrs. Stewart (Secretary of State (Latin America and Africa)) for Mr. Martin (Minister of Finance), seconded by Mrs. Stewart (Minister of National Revenue), moved,--That the Bill be now read a second time and referred to the Standing Committee on Finance.
Debate arose thereon.
The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to on division.
Accordingly, the Bill was read the second time and referred to the Standing Committee on Finance.

The Order was read for the second reading and reference to the Standing Committee on Finance of Bill C-92, An Act to amend the Income Tax Act, the Income Tax Application Rules and another Act related to the Income Tax Act.
Pursuant to Standing Order 73(1), Mrs. Stewart (Secretary of State (Latin America and Africa)) for Mr. Martin (Minister of Finance), seconded by Mr. Gerrard (Secretary of State (Science, Research and Development)(Western Economic Diversification)), moved,--That the Bill be referred forthwith to the Standing Committee on Finance.
