| In accordance with its Order of Reference of Wednesday, April 22, 2009, your Committee has considered Bill C-268, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (minimum sentence for offences involving trafficking of persons under the age of eighteen years), and agreed on Monday, June 8 2009, to report it with the following amendment: | Conformément à son Ordre de renvoi du mercredi 22 avril 2009, votre Comité a étudié le projet de loi C-268, Loi modifiant le Code criminel (peine minimale pour les infractions de traite de personnes âgées de moins de dix-huit ans), et a convenu le lundi 8 juin 2009, d’en faire rapport avec l'amendement suivant : |

| That Bill C-268, in Clause 2, be amended by | Que le projet de loi C-268, à l'article 2, soit modifié : |
| (a) replacing line 20 on page 1 with the following: | a) par substitution, à la ligne 21, page 1, de ce qui suit : |
“(a) to imprisonment for life and to a minimum punishment of imprisonment for a term of six years if they kidnap,” | « a) d’un emprisonnement à perpétuité, la peine minimale étant de six ans, s’il » |
| (b) replacing lines 25 and 26 on page 1 with the following: | b) par substitution, aux lignes 26 et 27, page 1, de ce qui suit : |
“(b) to imprisonment for a term of not more than fourteen years and to a minimum punishment of imprisonment for a term of five years, in any” | « b) dans les autres cas, d’un emprisonnement maximal de quatorze ans, la peine minimale étant de cinq ans. » |
