On Monday, March 21, 2022 the committee adopted the following motion:
That, pursuant to Standing Order 108 (2), the committee undertake a study on trade opportunities for Canadian businesses in the Indo-Pacific, with a focus on emerging economies for example Vietnam, Indonesia and other ASEAN members as well as India and Taiwan; that as part of this study, the committee study the Objectives of Negotiations tabled recently in the House of Commons on a potential Canada-Indonesia Agreement and on a potential Canada-ASEAN Agreement; that the committee hold a minimum of six meetings for this purpose, which could include travel; and that the committee report its findings and recommendations to the House.
