At 11:00 a.m., pursuant to Standing Order 30(6), the House proceeded to the consideration of Private Members' Business.

The Order was read for the second reading and reference to the Standing Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs of Bill C-234, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (facsimile advertising).

Mr. de Savoye (Portneuf), seconded by Mr. Landry (Lotbinière), moved, -- That the Bill be now read a second time and referred to the Standing Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs.

Debate arose thereon.

Pursuant to Standing Order 96(1), the Order was dropped from the Order Paper.

GOVERNMENT ORDERS

Mr. Collenette (Minister of National Defence and Minister of Veterans Affairs), seconded by Mr. Young (Minister of Transport), moved, -- That this House take note and welcome the recent Dayton peace agreement and the international community's continued efforts to bring enduring peace and security to the Balkans, and Canadian support of these efforts by participation in a multinational military Implementation Force (IFOR) under NATO command. (Government Business No. 27)
