``14.1 (1) The accounts and financial transactions of a first nation named in Schedule II, including the accounts and financial transactions relating to the monetary obligations of Canada under chapter 19 of each final agreement that is given effect by Section 4, and under the corresponding provisions of each final agreement that is given effect by Section 5, shall be audited annually by the Auditor General of Canada who shall prepare a report of the audit for the Speaker of the House of Commons and the first nation.

(2) The Auditor General shall cause the report referred to in subsection (1) to be submitted to the Speaker of the House of Commons within three months after the termination of the calendar year to which the report relates; the Speaker shall lay the report before the House of Commons forthwith after receipt thereof by him or, if that House is not then sitting, on any of the first fifteen days thereafter on which the House of Commons is sitting."
