Introduction of Government Bills
Pursuant to Standing Orders 68(2) and 69(1), on motion of Mr. Marchi (Minister of the Environment), seconded by Mr. Peters (Secretary of State (International Financial Institutions)), Bill C-74, An Act respecting pollution prevention and the protection of the environment and human health in order to contribute to sustainable development, was introduced, read the first time, ordered to be printed and ordered for a second reading at the next sitting of the House.

And of the amendment of Mr. Brien (Témiscamingue), seconded by Mr. Leroux (Shefford), -- That the motion be amended by deleting all the words after the word ``all'' and substituting the following:

``projects of military commitments abroad involving Canadian

House in order to recommend their approval or rejection to the
government''.
