Thursday, April 5, 2001
The Standing Committee on National Defence and Veterans Affairs met at 3:30 p.m., this day, in Room 362, East Block, the Chair, David Pratt, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Claude Bachand, Peter Goldring, Judi Longfield, John O'Reilly, David Pratt, David Price, Carmen Provenzano, Geoff Regan, Peter Stoffer, Bryon Wilfert.
In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Wolf Koerner and Michel Rossignol, Research Officers.
Witnesses: From the Auditor General of Canada: David Rattray, Assistant Auditor General; Peter Kasurak, Principal, Audit Operations Branch.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed consideration of its study on the state of readiness of the Canadian Forces.
The witnesses made opening statements and answered questions.
At 4:10 p.m., Peter Goldring took the Chair.
At 4:50 p.m., David Price took the Chair.
At 5:15 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
