Pursuant to Standing Orders 68(2) and 69(1), on motion of Mr. Robinson (Burnaby -- Douglas), seconded by Ms. Davies (Vancouver East), Bill C-264, An Act to amend the Marriage (Prohibited Degrees) Act (marriage between persons of the same sex), was introduced, read the first time, ordered to be printed and ordered for a second reading at the next sitting of the House.


Pursuant to Standing Orders 68(2) and 69(1), on motion of Mr. Thompson (New Brunswick Southwest), seconded by Mr. Doyle (St. John's East), Bill C-265, An Act establishing A Day for Hearts: Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Day, was introduced, read the first time, ordered to be printed and ordered for a second reading at the next sitting of the House.


Pursuant to Standing Orders 68(2) and 69(1), on motion of Mr. Pankiw (Saskatoon -- Humboldt), seconded by Mr. Peric (Cambridge), Bill C-266, An Act to amend the Marriage (Prohibited Degrees) Act in order to protect the legal definition of marriage by invoking section 33 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, was introduced, read the first time, ordered to be printed and ordered for a second reading at the next sitting of the House.


Pursuant to Standing Orders 68(2) and 69(1), on motion of Ms. Jennings (Notre-Dame-de-Grâce -- Lachine), seconded by Ms. Karetak-Lindell (Nunavut), Bill C-267, An Act to prohibit the use of chemical pesticides for non-essential purposes, was introduced, read the first time, ordered to be printed and ordered for a second reading at the next sitting of the House.


Pursuant to Standing Orders 68(2) and 69(1), on motion of Ms. Jennings (Notre-Dame-de-Grâce -- Lachine), seconded by Mr. Reed (Halton), Bill C-268, An Act to develop and provide for the publication of measures to inform Canadians about the health and well-being of people, communities and ecosystems in Canada, was introduced, read the first time, ordered to be printed and ordered for a second reading at the next sitting of the House.
