Mr. Williams (St. Albert), seconded by Mr. Hanger (Calgary Northeast), moved, -- That, in the opinion of this House, the government should fully implement the recommendations of the 51st Report of the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs in the First Session of the 36th Parliament, entitled ``The Business of Supply: Completing the Circle of Control''. (Private Members' Business M-296)
Debate arose thereon.
Pursuant to Standing Order 93, the Order was dropped to the bottom of the order of precedence on the Order Paper.
GOVERNMENT ORDERS
The House resumed consideration of the motion of Mr. Pettigrew (Minister for International Trade), seconded by Mr. Peterson (Secretary of State (International Financial Institutions)), -- That Bill C-32, An Act to implement the Free Trade Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of the Republic of Costa Rica, be now read a second time and referred to the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade.
The debate continued.
The question was put on the motion and, pursuant to Standing Order 45, the recorded division was deferred until Tuesday, October 2, 2001, at the expiry of the time provided for Government Orders.
