| In accordance with its Order of Reference of Wednesday, June 17, 2009, your Committee has considered matters relating to Bill C-309, An Act establishing the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Region of Northern Ontario and has agreed to recommend the following: | Conformément à l’ordre de renvoi du mercredi 17 juin 2009, votre Comité a examiné la question du projet de loi C-309, Loi portant création de l’Agence de développement économique du Canada pour la région du Nord de l’Ontario et a convenu de faire la recommandation suivante : |
| THAT, the Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology be authorized to continue its deliberations beyond Wednesday, February 3, 2010 and to present its final report no later than Wednesday, March 31, 2010. | QUE le Comité permanent de l'industrie, des sciences et de la technologie soit autorisé à poursuivre ses délibérations au delà du mercredi 3 février 2010 et à présenter son rapport final au plus tard le mercredi 31 mars 2010. |
| Your Committee's request for an extension is due to the fact that in order to give the Bill proper consideration, it will be necessary to schedule meetings to hear the views and comments of a wide-range of witnesses prior to the clause by clause study of Bill C-309. | La demande de prolongation de votre Comité est fondée sur le fait que pour pouvoir étudier convenablement le projet de loi, le Comité devra tenir des séances afin d'entendre le point de vue et les observations d'un large éventail de témoins avant l'étude article par article du projet de loi C-309. |
