Mr. Flaherty (Minister of Finance) laid upon the Table, — Notice of a Ways and Means motion to amend the Income Tax Act, the Excise Tax Act and related legislation. (Ways and Means No. 14) — Sessional Paper No. 8570-411-15.

Pursuant to Standing Order 83(2), at the request of Mr. Flaherty (Minister of Finance), an Order of the Day was designated for the consideration of this Ways and Means motion.

Mr. Simms (Bonavista—Gander—Grand Falls—Windsor), from the Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage, presented the Sixth Report of the Committee, "Review of National Protocol Procedures". — Sessional Paper No. 8510-411-137.

Mr. Van Loan (Leader of the Government in the House of Commons) gave notice of the intention to move a motion at the next sitting of the House, pursuant to Standing Order 78(3), for the purpose of allotting a specified number of days or hours for the consideration and disposal of the second reading of Bill C-45, A second Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on March 29, 2012 and other measures.

The House resumed consideration of the motion of Mr. Tweed (Brandon—Souris), seconded by Mr. Watson (Essex), — That Bill C-321, An Act to amend the Canada Post Corporation Act (library materials), be now read a third time and do pass.

The debate continued.
