The Standing Committee on Finance met in a televised session at 3:30 p.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, James Rajotte, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Mark Adler, Mike Allen, Hon. Scott Brison, Guy Caron, Nathan Cullen, Gerald Keddy, James Rajotte, Murray Rankin, Andrew Saxton and Dave Van Kesteren.

 

Acting Members present: Ted Hsu for Hon. Scott Brison, Laurin Liu for Guy Caron, Laurin Liu for Nathan Cullen and Phil McColeman for Andrew Saxton.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Michaël Lambert-Racine, Analyst; Mark Mahabir, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers: Janet Annesley, Vice-President, Ottawa and Eastern/Atlantic Canada. Canadian Gas Association: Timothy M. Pursuant to Standing Order 83.1, the Committee resumed its pre-budget consultations 2014.
 

Janet Annesley, Timothy M. Egan, Claire Seaborn, Éric Pineault and Patrick Gill made statements and answered questions.

 

On motion of Gerald Keddy, it was agreed, — That, notwithstanding Standing Order 83.1, the Committee request permission from the House to table its report on Pre-Budget consultations no later than Friday, December 12, 2014.

 

At 4:53 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:58 p.m., the sitting resumed.

 

Christopher Smillie, Frédéric Julien, Julia Deans, Scott Byrne and Christian Thivierge made statements and answered questions.

 

At 5:31 p.m., by unanimous consent and pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the Committee continue to sit.

 

At 5:51 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
