The debate continued.

Mr. Goguen (Moncton—Riverview—Dieppe), seconded by Mr. Clarke (Desnethé—Missinippi—Churchill River), moved the following amendment, — That the motion be amended by deleting all the words after the word “That” and substituting the following:

“Bill C-583, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (fetal alcohol spectrum disorder), be not now read a second time but that the Order be discharged, the Bill be withdrawn from the Order Paper, and the subject matter thereof be referred to the Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights and that the Committee report back to the House within four months of the adoption of this Order.”.

Debate arose thereon.

The question was put on the amendment and, pursuant to Standing Order 93(1), the recorded division was deferred until Wednesday, November 26, 2014, immediately before the time provided for Private Members' Business.
