A copy of the relevant Minutes of Proceedings (Meeting No. 59) was tabled.

Pursuant to Standing Order 97.1(3), the motion to concur in the Report was deemed moved, the question was deemed put and a recorded division was deemed requested and deferred until Wednesday, February 4, 2015, immediately before the time provided for Private Members' Business. Government Orders

The House resumed consideration of the motion of Mr. Clement (President of the Treasury Board), seconded by Mr. Alexander (Minister of Citizenship and Immigration), — That Bill C-21, An Act to control the administrative burden that regulations impose on businesses, be now read a third time and do pass.

The debate continued.

The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to on division.

Accordingly, the Bill was read the third time and passed.

Deferred Recorded Divisions

Business of Supply

Pursuant to Standing Order 45, the House proceeded to the taking of the deferred recorded division on the motion of Mr. Cleary (St. John's South—Mount Pearl), seconded by Mr. Angus (Timmins—James Bay), — That, in the opinion of the House, the federal government must respect its promise to Newfoundland and Labrador of $400 million for development and renewal, based on a 70/30 federal/provincial cost-share model, through the province’s Fisheries Investment Fund, in exchange for lifting minimum processing requirements as part of the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement.

Notices of Motions

Mr. Chong (Wellington—Halton Hills), seconded by Mr. Williamson (New Brunswick Southwest), moved, — That the Bill, as amended, be concurred in at report stage.

Motion No. 1 of Mr. Julian (Burnaby—New Westminster), seconded by Mr. Chisholm (Dartmouth—Cole Harbour), — That Bill C-518, in Clause 2, be amended by replacing lines 12 to 16 on page 1 with the following:

“ceases or has ceased to be a member and who, on or after the day on which this subsection comes into force, is either convicted of an offence under the Criminal Code mentioned in subsection (4) or sentenced to a term of imprisonment of five years or more for an offence under any other Act of Parliament, if the offence arose out of conduct that in whole or in part occurred while the person was a member, a”

Motion No. 2 of Mr. Julian (Burnaby—New Westminster), seconded by Mr. Chisholm (Dartmouth—Cole Harbour), — That Bill C-518, in Clause 3, be amended by replacing lines 20 to 25 on page 3 with the following:

“ceases or has ceased to be a member and who, on or after the day on which this subsection comes into force, is either convicted of an offence under the Criminal Code mentioned in subsection 19(4) or sentenced to a term of imprisonment of five years or more for an offence under any other Act of Parliament, if the offence arose out of conduct that in whole or in part occurred while the person was a member, a withdrawal”
