The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Sixth Report from the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure, which read as follows, be concurred in:

Your Subcommittee met on Thursday, September 28, 2017, to consider the business of the Committee and agreed to make the following recommendations:

1. That, in relation to its comparative study of services to veterans in other jurisdictions, the Committee invites John Boerstler to appear to present his work comparing military transition services.

2. That, in relation to its comparative study of services to veterans in other jurisdictions, the Committee invites to appear representatives from the Netherlands and Germany to present their respective services to Veterans.

3. That, at the time of its meeting of Thursday, October 5, 2017, the Committee holds an informal meeting with the Australian delegation of Senators and Members of Parliament.

At 8:47 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 8:48 a.m., the sitting resumed in public.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Monday, February 6, 2017, the Committee resumed its comparative study of services to veterans in other jurisdictions.

John W. Boerstler, by videoconference from Houston, Texas, made a statement and answered questions.

At 9:07 a.m., Phil McColeman took the Chair.

At 9:09 a.m., Neil R. Ellis took the Chair.

At 9:50 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 9:53 a.m., the sitting resumed.

Questioning of the witness resumed.

At 10:21 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
