Minutes of Proceedings
It was agreed, — That the Ninth Report from the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure, which read as follows, be concurred in as amended:
Your Subcommittee met on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, to consider the business of the Committee and agreed to make the following recommendations:
1- That, pursuant to Standing Orders 108(2), the Committee undertake two studies, on medical cannabis and veterans’ well-being and on homeless veterans; and that the Committee hold four to six meetings for each of these studies.
2- That, pursuant to Standing Orders 108(2), the Committee undertake a study of six meetings, regarding the anti-malaria drug commonly known as Mefloquine; that the study review the latest research, and compare with the experience of our allies; that the testimony and report be limited to recognized medical, scientific, and research experts, and that the Committee report its findings to the House.
It was agreed, — That, in relation to the studies of medical cannabis and veterans’ well-being and of homeless veterans, each party submit their prioritized witness lists to the Clerk of the Committee no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 7, 2018.
At 3:48 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
