Don Davies moved, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee invite representatives from Maurice Law Barristers and Solicitors, the DisAbled Women's Network of Canada, the Native Women's Association of Canada, Amnesty International, the BC First Nations Health Authority, and the Minister of Justice, to appear before the Committee at the earliest opportunity to provide evidence with respect to the forced sterilization of women in Canada.
Cathy McLeod moved, — That the motion be amended by adding after the words “Minister of Justice,” the following: "as well as other witnesses eventually submitted by other members of the Committee,”.
Debate arose thereon.

Robert-Falcon Ouellette moved, — That the motion be amended by deleting all the words after the words "Standing Order 108(2), the Committee’’ and replacing them with the following: ‘’undertake a study of two meetings on the forced sterilization of women in Canada; that all parties submit prioritized witness lists to the Clerk of the Committee; and that the Committee report its findings and recommendations to the House of Commons.’’

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of the Impacts of Methamphetamine Abuse in Canada, a preliminary travel submission be submitted to the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee.
