At 12:43 p.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 12:47 p.m., the sitting resumed.
On motion of Don Davies, it was agreed, — That no meeting be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017.
On motion of Doug Eyolfson, it was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $27,700, for the study of the public health effects of online violent and degrading sexually explicit material on children, women and men (M-47), be adopted.
It was agreed, — That the Committee dedicate the first hour of the meeting of Thursday, May 4, 2017, to study Bill C-211, An Act respecting a federal framework on post-traumatic stress disorder; and that the members of the Committee submit to the Clerk of the Committee, by Friday, April 7, 2017 at 5 p.m., their lists of witnesses.
It was agreed, — That the Committee dedicate the second hour of the meeting of Thursday, May 4, 2017, to the clause-by-clause study of Bill S-211, An Act respecting National Sickle Cell Awareness Day.
It was agreed, — That the scientific summary of the document entitled “Sexual health promotion for young people delivered via digital media: a scoping review” presented to the Committee by Jacqueline Gahagan be translated and distributed to the members of the Committee.
Rachael Harder moved, — That the Committee dedicate the meetings of Tuesday, May 9 and Thursday, May 11, 2017, to study thalidomide; and that officials from the Department of Health be asked to appear before the Committee on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, if the Department does not provide by Monday, April 10, 2017, information on the 2015 Thalidomide Survivors Contribution Program, as requested by the Committee on Tuesday, March 7, 2017.
Debate arose thereon.
