Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motions adopted by the Committee on Monday, March 7, 2016, and on Thursday, May 4, 2017, the Committee resumed its study of antimicrobial resistance.

Dr. Neil Rau, Sandi Kossey, Kim Neudorf and Yvonne Shevchuk made statements.

At 5:10 p.m., Marilyn Gladu took the Chair.

At 5:13 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:15 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

Committee Business
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of antimicrobial resistance, two additional witnesses be added to the meeting on international perspectives.

It was agreed, — That the draft letter, as amended, summarizing the most credible evidence and best advice the Committee has received concerning several discreet issues it deems important in relation to Bill C-45 be adopted.

At 5:28 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
