Pursuant to Standing Order 69(2), on motion of Mr. MacAulay (Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food) for Mr. Garneau (Minister of Transport), seconded by Mrs. Lebouthillier (Minister of National Revenue), Bill S-2, An Act to amend the Motor Vehicle Safety Act and to make a consequential amendment to another Act, was read the first time and ordered for a second reading at the next sitting of the House.

Pursuant to Standing Order 69(2), on motion of Mr. Rayes (Richmond—Arthabaska), seconded by Mr. Deltell (Louis-Saint-Laurent), Bill S-230, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (drug-impaired driving), was read the first time and ordered for a second reading at the next sitting of the House.

Business of Supply

The Order was read for the consideration of the Business of Supply.

Mr. Boulerice (Rosemont—La Petite-Patrie), seconded by Mr. Cullen (Skeena—Bulkley Valley), moved, — That, in the opinion of the House, the government misled Canadians on its platform and Throne Speech commitment “that 2015 will be the last federal election conducted under the first-past-the-post voting system”, and that the House call on the government to apologize to Canadians for breaking its promise.
