APPENDIX A: INFORMATION ABOUT THE HOUSE OF COMMONS WORKING GROUP ON THE LTVP AND THE CENTRE BLOCK REHABILITATION

At its meeting of 12 March 2020, the House of Commons Board of Internal Economy discussed the governance of the Centre Block Rehabilitation Project and agreed to establish a working group composed of Members from each recognized party, which would report to the Board.

The mandate of the working group is to study the Long Term Vision and Plan for the Parliamentary Precinct and make recommendations to the Board regarding the House’s functional requirements for Centre Block. While taking into account the guiding principles laid out by the Board, the working group meets on an ongoing basis to consider the plans for Centre Block to ensure that the rehabilitated building meets the needs of Members of Parliament by providing modern accommodations to support parliamentary operations.[1]
