Mr. Speaker, it is the desire of the Right Honourable Deputy of Her Excellency the Governor General, that this honourable House attend him immediately in the Senate chamber.
Accordingly, the Speaker with the House went up to the Senate chamber.
And being returned:
I have the honour to inform the House that when the House went up to the Senate chamber the Right Honourable Deputy of Her Excellency the Governor General was pleased to give, in His Majesty's name, the royal assent to the following bills:
Bill C‑56, An Act to amend the Excise Tax Act and the Competition Act—Chapter 31
Bill C‑21, An Act to amend certain Acts and to make consequential amendments (firearms)—Chapter 32
Bill C‑60, An Act for granting to His Majesty certain sums of money for the federal public administration for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2024—Chapter 33.
It being 4:14 p.m., the House stands adjourned until Monday, January 29, 2024, at 11 a.m. pursuant to Standing Orders 28(2) and 24(1).
