| Bill C-244, An Act to Provide for the Taking of Samples of Blood for the Benefit of Persons Administering and Enforcing the Law and Good Samaritans and to Amend the Criminal Code, was referred to the Committee on March 21, 2000. Since that date, the Committee has heard from the sponsor of the Bill and other witnesses. | Le projet de loi C-244, Loi permettant le prélèvement d'échantillons de sang au profit des personnes chargées de l'application et de l'exécution de la loi et des bons samaritains et modifiant le Code criminel, a été renvoyé au Comité le 21 mars 2000. Depuis, le Comité a entendu le parrain du projet de loi et divers témoins. | ||
| Because of the workload generated by other matters pending before the Committee, it has not yet been able to complete its study of Bill C-244. | En raison de la charge de travail générée par d’autres questions soumises au Comité, il n’a pas encore été en mesure de terminer l’étude de ce projet de loi. | ||
| Therefore, in accordance with Standing Order 97.1, the Committee requests an extension of thirty sitting days to allow it to complete its consideration of Bill C-244. | Par conséquent, conformément à l’article 97.1 du Règlement, le Comité demande une prolongation de trente jours de séance afin d’achever l’étude du projet de loi C-244. | ||
