Introduction of Government Bills

Pursuant to Standing Orders 68(6) and 69(1), on motion of Mr. Gray (Leader of the Government in the House of Commons), seconded by Mr. Gagliano (Secretary of State (Parliamentary Affairs) and Deputy Leader of the Government in the House of Commons), Bill C-69, An Act to provide for the establishment of electoral boundaries commissions and the readjustment of electoral boundaries, was read the first time, ordered to be printed and ordered for a second reading at the next sitting of the House.

Recommendation
(Pursuant to Standing Order 79(2))

His Excellency the Governor General recommends to the House of Commons the appropriation of public revenue under the circumstances, in the manner and for the purposes set out in a measure entitled ``An Act to provide for the establishment of electoral boundaries commissions and the readjustment of electoral boundaries''.

Introduction of Private Members' Bills

Pursuant to Standing Orders 68(2) and 69(1), on motion of Mr. Patry (Pierrefonds -- Dollard), seconded by Mr. Duhamel (Parliamentary Secretary to the President of the Treasury Board), Bill C-302, An Act to amend the Canada Health Act (nutrition services), was introduced, read the first time, ordered to be printed and ordered for a second reading at the next sitting of the House.

Pursuant to Standing Orders 68(2) and 69(1), on motion of Mr. McClelland (Edmonton Southwest), seconded by Mr. Speaker (Lethbridge), Bill C-303, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (dangerous intoxications), was introduced, read the first time, ordered to be printed and ordered for a second reading at the next sitting of the House.

That the Address of the President of the United States of America, to be delivered in the House Chamber on Thursday, February 23, l995, before Members of the Senate and Members of the House of Commons, together with all introductory and related remarks, be printed as an appendix to the House of Commons Debates of Friday, February 24, 1995, and form part of the records of this House; and

That media recording and transmission of such address, introductory and related remarks be authorized pursuant to established guidelines for such occasions.

By unanimous consent, Mr. Milliken (Parliamentary Secretary to the Leader of the Government in the House of Commons), seconded by Ms. Catterall (Ottawa West), moved, -- That two Library of Parliament research officers, assigned to the Standing Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development be permitted to travel to Toronto, February 19 and 20, 1995, to attend a conference of the Canadian Council of Ministers of Environment.
