Mr. Thompson (Wild Rose), seconded by Mr. Williams (St. Albert), moved, -- That, in the opinion of this House, wheat and barley producers in Western Canada should be given greater flexibility and more choices by amending the Canadian Wheat Board Act to include a special two year opting out provision for those farmers interested in developing niche export markets. (Private Members' Business M-207)

Introduction of Private Members' Bills
Pursuant to Standing Orders 68(2) and 69(1), on motion of Mr. Solberg (Medicine Hat), seconded by Mr. Hart (Okanagan -- Similkameen -- Merritt), Bill C-349, An Act to provide for parliamentary scrutiny and approval of user fees set by federal authority and to require public disclosure of the amount collected as user fees, was introduced, read the first time, ordered to be printed and ordered for a second reading at the next sitting of the House.
