GOVERNMENT ORDERS

The Order was read for the consideration at report stage and second reading of Bill C-92, An Act to amend the Income Tax Act, the Income Tax Application Rules and another Act related to the Income Tax Act, as reported by the Standing Committee on Finance with amendments.

Mr. Martin (Minister of Finance), seconded by Mrs. Stewart (Secretary of State (Latin America and Africa)), moved, -- That the Bill be concurred in at report stage and read a second time.

The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to.

Accordingly, the Bill, as amended, was concurred in at report stage, read a second time and, by unanimous consent, ordered for a third reading later today.

The Order was read for the third reading of Bill C-92, An Act to amend the Income Tax Act, the Income Tax Application Rules and another Act related to the Income Tax Act.

Mr. Martin (Minister of Finance), seconded by Mrs. Stewart (Secretary of State (Latin America and Africa)), moved, -- That the Bill be now read a third time and do pass.

Debate arose thereon.

The House resumed consideration of the motion of Mr. Rock (Minister of Justice), seconded by Ms. Marleau (Minister of Public Works and Government Services), -- That Bill C-95, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (criminal organizations) and to amend other Acts in consequence, be now read a second time and referred to a Committee of the Whole.
