Mr. Thompson (New Brunswick Southwest), seconded by Ms. St- Jacques (Shefford), moved, -- That this House condemns the government for its failure to provide Canadians with a long-term, sustainable plan to address the crisis in our health care system, and its continued failure to work with the provinces to ensure funding formulas consistent with the founding principles of our health care system to provide Canadians with timely and equal access to quality health care.

Mr. Bachand (Richmond -- Arthabaska), seconded by Mr. Borotsik (Brandon -- Souris), moved the following amendment, -- That the motion be amended by adding after the word ``House'' the following:
