MESSAGES FROM THE SENATE

A Message was received from the Senate informing this House that the Senate has passed the following Bill, to which the concurrence of the House is desired:

S-3, An Act to amend the Motor Vehicle Transport Act, 1987 and to make consequential amendments to other Acts.

GOVERNMENT ORDERS

The Order was read for the consideration at report stage of Bill C-22, An Act to amend the Income Tax Act, the Income Tax Application Rules, certain Acts related to the Income Tax Act, the Canada Pension Plan, the Customs Act, the Excise Tax Act, the Modernization of Benefits and Obligations Act and another Act related to the Excise Tax Act, as reported by the Standing Committee on Finance with amendments.

Mr. MacAulay (Solicitor General of Canada) for Mr. Martin (Minister of Finance), seconded by Mr. Anderson (Minister of the Environment), moved, -- That the Bill, as amended, be concurred in at report stage.

The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to.

Accordingly, the Bill, as amended, was concurred in at report stage.

Pursuant to Standing Order 76.1(11), Mr. MacAulay (Solicitor General of Canada) for Mr. Martin (Minister of Finance), seconded by Mr. Anderson (Minister of the Environment), moved, -- That the Bill be now read a third time and do pass.
