Government Orders
The Order was read for the consideration at report stage of Bill C-3, An Act to amend the Canada Pension Plan and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board Act, as reported by the Standing Committee on Finance without amendment.
Pursuant to Standing Order 76.1(5), the Speaker selected for debate Motion No. 1.
Mr. Reid (Lanark—Carleton) , seconded by Mr. Kenney (Calgary Southeast) , moved Motion No. 1, — That Bill C-3, in Clause 15, be amended by replacing lines 41 to 46 on page 9 and lines 1 to 5 on page 10 with the following:
“15. Section 37 of the Act is repealed.”
Debate arose on Motion No. 1.
The question was put on Motion No. 1 and, pursuant to Standing Order 45, the recorded division was deferred until Tuesday, January 28, 2003, at the expiry of the time provided for Oral Questions.
