Government Orders

The Order was read for the consideration at report stage of Bill C-17, An Act to amend certain Acts of Canada, and to enact measures for implementing the Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention, in order to enhance public safety, as reported by the Legislative Committee on Bill C-17 with amendments.

Pursuant to Standing Order 76.1(5), the Speaker selected for debate the following motion:

Mr. Bevilacqua (Secretary of State (International Financial Institutions)) for Mr. Collenette (Minister of Transport) , seconded by Mr. Easter (Solicitor General of Canada) , moved Motion No. 6, — That Bill C-17, in Clause 112, be amended by replacing line 29 on page 103 with the following:

“and 109 to 111.1, and the provisions of any Act”

The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to.

Pursuant to Standing Order 76.1(11), Mr. McTeague (Pickering—Ajax—Uxbridge) , seconded by Mr. Szabo (Mississauga South) , moved, — That the Bill be now read a third time and do pass.
