At 11:00 a.m., pursuant to Standing Order 30(6), the House proceeded to the consideration of Private Members' Business.

Mrs. Gallant (Renfrew—Nipissing—Pembroke), seconded by Mr. Miller (Bruce—Grey—Owen Sound), moved, — That the House affirm its commitment to Canada's military personnel and call on the government to continue to provide them with the best possible equipment and support to carry out their responsibilities. (Private Members' Business M-244)

Debate arose thereon.

Pursuant to Standing Order 93(1), the Order was dropped to the bottom of the order of precedence on the Order Paper.

Application for Emergency Debate

Pursuant to Standing Order 52, Mr. Easter (Malpeque), asked leave to move the adjournment of the House for the purpose of discussing a specific and important matter requiring urgent consideration, namely, the Canadian Wheat Board.

By unanimous consent, the Speaker deferred his decision on whether the matter was proper to be discussed until Tuesday, December 12, 2006.
