Messages from the Senate

Pursuant to Standing Order 32(1.1), a message received from the Senate was deposited with the Clerk of the House on Monday, July 12, 2010, as follows:

— ORDERED: That a message be sent to the House of Commons to acquaint that House that the Senate has passed Bill C-9, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on March 4, 2010 and other measures, without amendment.

Royal Assent

A message was received informing the Commons that on July 12, 2010, at 11:05 p.m., the Honourable Thomas Cromwell, Puisne Judge of the Supreme Court of Canada, in his capacity as Deputy of the Governor General, signified Royal Assent by written declaration to the following Bill:
